Donations Welcome! All merchandise at ReUse Industries has been donated by community businesses and households who are protecting the environment and supporting local jobs with their tax-deductible donations. However, we can only accept used items that are truly "reusable." We reserve the right to refuse items that are not in a "reusable" condition or have no resale value.

ReUse accepts just about any type of reusable you may have.

Conditions for acceptance:

Appliances - fully assembled and in working condition (items containing freon = $10 charge)
* Please Note: Large appliances are accepted at Albany site only.
Books - accepted at ReUse's Athens & Wellston thrift store only (text books are not accepted)
Carpet - good condition only
Clothes - accepted at ReUse's Athens & Wellston thrift store only, good condition only
Computers - Pentium IIl level minimum, 17" working monitors

Electronics - must be in working condition
Glass - NO broken glass
Mattresses / Box spring - NO bad smells, stains, or tears
Metal - NO rusted or broken metal items
Paint - Unopened only, no frozen paint
Plastic - NO cracked or broken items
Upholstered Furniture - NO bad smells, missing parts, stains or tears
Televisions - working condition only, NO big screen, console, non-cable ready or black and white.
Vehicles - Call First
Windows - NO broken glass, torn screens, bad wood, or bent aluminum

Wood - NO moisture damage, cracks, nails, or rotten or broken wood

Donations may be dropped off at any of ReUse's locations during normal business hours. Feel free to call Reuse if you have any questions about your specific donation.

ReUse offers a pick-up service to the surrounding local area. Pick-ups are FREE to residents and businesses within the city limits of Albany, Athens, Hamden, McArthur, Wellston, Jackson, and The Plains, OH. Please call the Athens ReUse Thrift Store at 740-594-5103 if you reside in any of these areas. Call the Welston ReUse Thrift Store at 740-384-1323 if you are in the Jackson and Vinton County areas. All other area residents and businesses are charged a nominal hauling fee based on their location. This fee ranges from $10-$30.

To schedule a pick-up, call ReUse's Albany facility at 740-698-8200. Please note the following when scheduling a pick-up: - We can only accept items that are "reusable" and have a resale value. The driver may refuse all or part of your donation based on his experience. - The truck and driver must have easy access to your items. - The driver cannot pin-point when, during the day, he will be at your location. If you must be present for the pick-up, please discuss this when you call to schedule your pick-up. - Donated items should be clearly marked or separated from other nearby items. - The driver cannot enter your home (garage or porch is O.K. if easily accessible).

If you are outside of our free pick-up area, but have items to donate, don't hesitate to contact us. We can arrange special pick-ups based on the value of the donation. Please call Cathy Wilson at 698-8200 ext. 12.
