What does ReUse sell?
ReUse sells used merchandise of all kinds including:

Who can shop at ReUse? Anyone can shop at ReUse! The general public, businesses, non-profit organizations, or anyone with an interest in buying good, quality, used merchandise. Visit our Buyer's Page for more information.

Why shop at ReUse?
"Reuse" is the highest form of waste reduction! Savvy "re-users" know that older used merchandise is often of higher quality and made with more durable materials than what's available today. Since its inception, ReUse has diverted more than 5,000,000 pounds of reusables away from the landfill. ReUse is also committed to creating sustainable jobs, providing job training for low-income individuals, and reversing the "throw-away" trends so entrenched in our current society. What can I donate to ReUse?

Your donations of used items are always welcome! However, we can only accept used items that are truly "reusable." We reserve the right to refuse items that are not in a "reusable" condition or have no resale value. Visit our Donor Page for a complete listing of what we accept.

How do I donate to ReUse?
Donations may be dropped off at any of ReUse's locations during normal business hours:

ReUse Industries farm in Albany is open to the General Public 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

The ReUse Thrift Store in Athens is open to the General Public 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The ReUse Thrift Store in Wellston is open to the General Public 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday

Can ReUse pick-up my donation?
ReUse offers a pick-up service to the surrounding local area. Pick-ups are FREE to residents and businesses within the city limits of Albany, Athens, Hamden, McArthur, Wellston, Jackson, and The Plains, OH. All other area residents and businesses are charged a nominal hauling fee based on their location. This fee ranges from $10-$30. If you are outside of our free pick-up area, but have items to donate, don't hesitate to contact us. We can arrange special pick-ups based on the value of the donation. How can I participate in "ReUse"?
Volunteers have been the backbone of ReUse Industries since before we even opened for business. When the farm was purchased in 1994, it had been abandoned for 25 years and was in a terrible state of disrepair. Community volunteers came out in full force to prepare ReUse for operation. ReUse has come a long way in the following years, but one factor remains consistent: the need for volunteers. Members of the community are encouraged to stop by for a hands-on learning experience any day of the week. The second Saturday of each month is designated as an Environmental Work Day. If your group or class is interested in learning more about the ReUse community, please call 740-698-8200, or e-mail vista@reuseindustries.org.

ReUse Industries is a community organization whose main goals are to aid the economy and environment of southeastern Ohio. As a community organization, customer and donor input is extremely important to us. Residents are encouraged to become active by voicing their opinions and offering their assistance at our committee meetings. We will be hosting meetings that are open to the public on several subjects such as program development, site planning, and environmental issues. We have also placed comment cards at all of our locations. Please take a moment to share your comments next time you visit us or e-mail us at vista@reuseindustries.org.
